Offering new ship management services integrating domestic and international ship management methods |
 |
We were re-incorporated as Asahi Marine Co., Ltd. on October 1, 2008, as a merger between Asahi Marine Co., Ltd. (formerly the domestic ship management company AMMTEC Co., Ltd.), which became a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Tanker in 2007, and Solar Japan Co., Ltd. (an international ship management company), which also became a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Tanker in 2007. This enabled the Asahi Tanker Group to establish a system to centrally manage its domestic and international fleet, while creating the first ship management company capable of offering ship management services meeting the major needs of domestic and international ship owners.
Our domestic ship management department currently manages 9 ships owned by Asahi Tanker, as well as providing management-support services (mainly for group ships), and our international ship management department manages 12 ships, including ships owned by Asahi Tanker and flag of convenience vessels. We also manage 19 ships under contract by domestic ship owners. We have 60-person management staff, including staff working at our overseas offices in Korea, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Slovenia, and manage 180 Japanese and 750 foreign crewmembers.
We will continue to offer a new paradigm in ship management services, fusing the ship management methods we have cultivated in domestic and international ship management. |
