Asahi Marine Co., Ltd. traces its roots to 2003, when Amtec Co., Ltd. was established mainly by Asahi Tanker Co., Ltd. and Munataka Shipping Co., Ltd., which have a wealth of experience in the management of oil tankers. In 2007, the former Amtec became a wholly owned subsidiary of Asahi Tanker Co., Ltd., and changed its name to Asahi Marine Co., Ltd. Since its founding, Asahi Marine Co., Ltd. has improved its services as well as contributed to the coastal-shipping management industry through such means as the early introduction of international management standards in coastal-shipping management.
